HOUSTON―A University of
Houston Clear Lake professor was arrested and charged with making a terroristic
threat.
Lei Wu, 40, is accused of
making the threat to a faculty member on April 8. Wu allegedly made the
statement after requesting to speak with the woman about a work-related matter.
The faculty member told investigators that she recorded the conversation because
she had issues with Wu in the past.
Wu told the faculty
member he wanted tenure and said “both would be blood,” according to his arrest
warrant. When she asked him to elaborate, because she took it as a threat to
herself and the board members, Wu allegedly said “it will be bad for either”
and “both will be blood.”
Wu was released from
jail after posting $500 bond.
