A giant image of Queen Elizabeth II has been beamed onto
Buckingham Palace as part of the monarch's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The montage was made up of 200,000 self-portraits by British
schoolchildren.
Children across the UK were asked to create a self-portrait in
any form they wanted.
Digital pictures were then taken of their creations and used to
form the royal montage.
The "Face Britain" project was created by Prince
Charles' Foundation for Children and the Arts. Children aged between 4 and 16
years old took part.
As well as the projection on to Buckingham Palace the images
will be simultaneously screened for 24 hours on big screens in 18 public
locations across the UK.
